The Pehuén in mapudungun or Araucaria in Spanish is a sacred tree to the mapuche people (indians from the central-south area of Chile): They eat its fruit, they pray and celebrate in its shade and they give offering to it.
This jewelry represents the bridge between the material and spiritual: The turquoise is the air, the amber the earth and the tree, an araucaria, the balance and connection between both.

Pierced and constructed
Yui Tima is the name, which Arhuaco people (aborigines from colombia) give to the moon and the sun.
The moon is related to the silver and the sun to the gold, precious metals I work with.
Yui Tima also represents the masculine and feminine, the passive and active energies, the "being", and what is done to make this "being" exist. All of this comes a long when I'm creating and making a piece of jewelry.
who I am
The jewelry is the language I use to express myself, to communicate my own view of the world.
My desire is for people to find themselves in this art, that this becomes in an expression of them as well, in something symbolic and meaningful. An aesthetic pleasure, which beautifies, communicates and passes on a feeling.
I was born in Colombia in 1988, but I've been living in Chile since 1993. I studied jewelry in Chile in the "Taller Formas del Magma" and after that in The Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco, CA
