Sol de los Pastos

The Pastos were a pre-Columbian culture from the south of Colombia. The "Sol de los Pastos" or Pasto’s Sun is its more common artistic representation, being found in stone drawings, sculptures, jewelry and more. It shows the geometric thought of the pre-Hispanic people: It produces a square, a star with 8 points and a circumference evoking an universe mandala.

This piece of jewelry is inspired by a pre-Columbian design. The 8 points star represents the sun, and the silver it's made of the moon. It is duplicated and spins, evocating the movement and constant change.
